Walgreens Expects to Become Nation's Largest Retail Host of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Jul. 21, 2011 (Business Wire) -- Walgreens (NYSE:WAG) (NASDAQ:WAG) plans to offer electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at approximately 800 locations across the country by the end of the year, making it the nation’s largest retail host. The company’s neighborhood stores will provide convenient locations for EV drivers to recharge near home or work. The charging stations will feature either a high-speed direct current (DC) charger that can add 30 miles of range in as little as 10 minutes of charging time, or a Level 2 charger that can add up to 25 miles of range per hour of charge.

RI Supreme Court Upholds Block Island Wind Farm Power Contract
July 1, 2011 - A Rhode Island Supreme Court ruling today paves the way for Deepwater Wind to advance the permitting and development of its planned Block Island Wind Farm, which remains on track to be the first offshore wind farm in the nation.
The Supreme Court upheld Deepwater Wind’s power purchase agreement with National Grid for the renewable energy generated from the planned Block Island Wind Farm. The Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission had approved the power purchase contract in August 2010.
